News sources report that on Thursday night Sarah Palin appeared on the O’Reilly Factor and advocated a law system in the USA based on the Bible. It is wonderful to know what a woman who could have quite literally been a heartbeat away from the presidency wants to replace our legal system. While even the most radical Tea Party members simply want a return to the Constitution, Palin seems to desire a revolution to institute a theocratic government in the United States. Looking at other theocracies around the world, such as Saudi Arabia and the Vatican, we can tell that they flawed countries based on flawed religions. The noble Saudi Arabia still executes people for witchcraft in the modern day, but we must remember that because god isn’t real the government must compensate and act like a vengeful deity. When looking at the Vatican City, a country built on the Bible, it is also clear that they are a model Christian nation, hence serving as a primary reason for why the USA shouldn’t adopt Biblical law. There are clear faults in the Pope’s land. First, they wear funny hats. Second, they harbor fugitives charged with raping children. Third, they hypocritically horde priceless artifacts instead of feeding the poor of the world. Clearly modern theocracies are not the ‘Mecca’ they are intended to be. Surely Palin’s implementation of the Bible as law should be better, right? The American legal system may have enough trouble interpreting a document intended to be the law, the Constitution, but replacing it with contradictory bullshit written by random people should fare better. The fact that America legitimizes the rants of a cult for implementing an over-glorified book of fairy tales still baffles me. However, instituting the Bible as the law may have one major benefit. A member of Reddit adroitly cited 1 Timothy 2:12, which states “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.” Instituting this theocratic law may therefore be worth the trouble- it would shut up that stupid Alaskan bitch.
If there is one takeaway message from this, it is this:
If you would still consider voting for Palin in 2012, just remember that she disapproves of the law you charge her to uphold and she wants to replace it. She is unamerican and her allegiances will not be to you, the voter, but to some imaginary friend of hers.
